Iran will not yield to pressure in nuclear talks: Pres. Pezeshkian

During the Tehran Dialogue Forum 2025, President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that diplomatic engagement with the United States remains possible, provided Washington refrains from a confrontational approach in indirect negotiations concerning Iran’s nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions.

In a meeting on Sunday with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, President Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran will not succumb to external pressure. He expressed optimism that agreements between Tehran and Doha would be swiftly implemented, fostering mutual economic and political benefits.

The Iranian president underscored the importance of joint projects and strengthened cooperation between the two nations, highlighting their potential to contribute positively to regional stability.

Delivering greetings from Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatari official voiced confidence in President Pezeshkian’s leadership, stressing that his diplomatic approach could enhance security and stability in the region. He reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering support for Iran’s rights, rooted in the two nations' historical and religious ties. 

He further noted that past experience has shown that coercion and pressure fail in dealings with Iran, whereas constructive dialogue and mutual understanding yield better results. Concluding the exchange, Qatar’s Foreign Minister expressed hope for Iran’s continued success in the political arena.
